Students are able to register for the new qualification from 1 September 2022, any new student wishing to register after this date will automatically be registered onto the new qualification.
More information about the new qualification has been provided by AAT on their website.
If you have an active AQ2016 AAT student registration and are moving up to a new level of study please contact us for advice on how this will impact you. We have also provided some transitional advice for students part way through a level further below.
One key difference is that AAT are now charging for membership to each individual level of the new qualification rather than an annual subscription fee. Full details of AAT's new registration fees can be found on this link
Due to the qualification coming to an end on 30 September 2023, the AQ2016 renewal fees will vary depending on when the renewal is due. Whichever renewal period your membership falls under you will still have access to the qualification and ability to sit assessments until 30 September 2023.
If you are part way through completing one of your AAT levels, we have pulled together the following document to provide the information you need to make your decision. If you do need any help in deciding whether to complete on AQ2016 or move to the new Quals 2022, just drop us a line anytime, we are always happy to help.
